The Maxims of Perfection Desktop Edition are addressed to laypersons and religious who seek a closer union with God.

Father Jean Pierre Medaille, SJ, who, with the six original Sisters, founded the Sisters of St. Joseph on October 15, 1650, selected one hundred maxims for the Sisters as a brief "resume" of the spirit of their Institute.

To assist in your reflection, scripture references relating to each Maxim as well as suggested applications are provided along with the Maxim. We invite you to pray and reflect on these Maxims with us each day. The Maxims are divided into the following categories:

1 - 11 Spirituality

12 - 43 Relationship with God

44 - 61 Relationship with Others

62 - 100 Relationship with Self
